Independence2, LLC's Privacy Policy is designed to help you better understand how we collect and utilize any personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Site, software product applications, Materials or Services.  Since Independence2, LLC is ever growing and expanding, this Privacy Policy is a work in progress and may be updated periodically.  If you are concerned about your Internet Privacy, then we suggest you check back regularly to review this document for changes and updates.

What Information Do We Collect?

When you visit our website you may provide us with two types of information, "Personal Information", you choose to disclose that is collected on an individual/company basis and "Aggregate web site use and it is collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our website.

Personal Information You Choose To Provide:

Registration Information:

You may provide us with information about yourself, your firm or company, and your practices when you register for our e-mail newsletters and alerts, such as, RSS Feeds, Pod casts, Materials downloads or when you register to become a Subscriber/Customer/User of our Site's Services, including but not limited to, F.A.Q. section, Surveys, Materials, Download Materials, etc.  You may also provide additional comments on how you rate Independence2, LLC's and our servicing of your needs and interests.  This information will be handled with the greatest of confidence.  We may at some time utilize this information to update our contact records on you or your firm, in order to maintain current and correct contact information for our Customer/Users.  We will not sell your information to Third-Party mailing list buyers.  However, Independence2, LLC, may provide your information to a Third-Party Vendor who provides us services or information (i.e. a Third Party Newsletter Mailing Application Provider, etc.).  We will not provide your information to a Third-Party, unless we believe in good faith that such Third Party Supplier will adequately provide privacy protection for the data of our Customer/Users.  We may also need to share your data if (i) required by subpoena/law, (ii) we transfer our organization's assets, (iii) we need to do so with one of our affiliate organizations (iv) it is believed that the Customer/User specifically has broken Independence2, LLC's Terms of Service and the information is needed to seek prosecution (v) or we first receive permission from you to do so.

E-mail Information:

If you choose to correspond with Independence2, LLC or anyone associated with our organization through e-mail or though our website's forms or support contact functions or other Services, Independence2, LLC may retain the content of your e-mail message together with your e-mail address and our responses in perpetuity.

E-mail Newsletters:


If users wish to subscribe to our e-mail newsletters, we ask for contact information (such as name, e-mail address and, occasionally, demographic information). We use this information in the same manner as we use contact information in the registration and ordering process described herein and in our Terms of Use Policy. Recipients of our newsletters can unsubscribe using the instructions listed at the end of the e-mail newsletter or below. Surveys and possibly Contests From time to time we invite web site users and other customers to provide information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the website user or other customer therefore has a choice whether to disclose requested contact information (such as name and mailing address) and demographic information (such as zip code or job title). In addition to the other uses set forth in this policy, contact information collected in connection with surveys and contests is used to notify the winners and award prizes and to monitor or improve the use of, and satisfaction with our website or other Independence2, LLC product or service. Subject to the given customer's preferences (as described in the "Third Party" section below), such information also may be shared with third party sponsors of such surveys or contests, if Independence2, LLC decides to work in cooperation with a Third Party sponsor.

 

Tell-A-Friend:
If customers elect to use our referral service for informing a friend about our newsletter, sites and services, we may ask them for the friend's name, job title and e-mail address. Independence2, LLC will store and use this information to send the friend an invitation or to forward the Independence2, LLC Newsletter to the friend. This information may then or later be used to provide information about our company and related products and services to that friend. The friend may contact us as specified in the tell-a-friend message to request that no further communications be sent.  The friend will enjoy the same rights and opportunity to OPT-OUT of future e-mails, newsletters or certain other Independence2, LLC products, sites or services.

Survey Information:

When responding to Independence2, LLC's surveys you may provide personal or aggregate data.  We may utilize the information from Customer/User registrations and surveys to contact our Customer/Users and to determine how better to serve you.  However, our Customer/Users are always given the choice to OPT-OUT of receiving future e-mail contact from us.  See the Opt-Out section provided in any e-mail newsletter which you may receive from Independence2, LLC you may have received.  Also, you may utilize the Opt-Out choice below.  We may also use the aggregated data provided to determine the originating domain that accessed our survey, the destination domain after the survey is complete, the length of time spent on the survey, the survey respondent's IP address.

Web Site Use Information:

Similar to other commercial Web sites, our Web sites utilize a standard technology called "cookies" (see explanation below, "What Are Cookies?") and Web server logs to collect information about how our Web site is used.  Information gathered through cookies and Web server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spend at our Web site, and the Web sites visited just before and just after our Web site.  We, our advertisers and ad serving companies may also use small pieces of code called "web beacons" or "clear gifs" to determine which advertisements and promotions users have seen and how users responded to them.

Transfer of Business Assets:

Although Independence2, LLC currently does not have any plans to do so, at a later date, it may be necessary to transfer our business assets, in order to develop our business further, if we merge with another organization, acquire or buy other business assets, etc.  In such transactions, both personally and aggregated data will likely be one of the transferred assets.  You hereby grant Independence2, LLC the right to transfer these assets, which include your data, if Independence2, LLC needs to do so.

Cookies:

Independence2, LLC may utilize cookies to determine if you have visited our website previously, what the originating domain and the destination domains were when entering and leaving our website, in order to save and remember any preferences you as a Customer/User of the site may have selected currently or previously while visiting our Site.  Although Customers/Users have the ability to modify browsers, utilize software applications, etc., in order to modify most Internet Browser's ability to accept or reject, notify or otherwise mandate how cookies on their system may be processed, it may not be possible to utilize some of the Services, Materials or Site functionality of Independence2, LLC if the Customer/User selects to reject/deny usage of cookies for our Site.

Third-Party Links:

Independence2, LLC may have Third-Party links available through our website; we do not accept any responsibility or liability by the Customer/User, if the Customer/User selects to utilize these Third-Party links.  Independence2, LLC is not responsible or liable for the content, privacy practices or Terms of Use for Third-Party websites linked to Independence2, LLC's website; Furthermore, you agree, not to hold Independence2, LLC responsible for any Third-Party website you visit directly or indirectly from Independence2, LLC's website and any problems or issues arising thereof.

Security:

While there is no "perfect" security in our advanced society's "Information Age" and the current "Age of the Internet", Independence2, LLC will take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of your personally identifiable information. This Site has security measures in place to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration and control of the information under our control.  However, we do not assume any liability for Third-Party usage of your information whether obtained legally or illegally from our system.  You also agree to hold Independence2, LLC, its officers, employees, investors, affiliates, customers and business partners harmless for any issues of liability as it relates to your personal, firm or organizational information provided to Independence2, LLC.  In keeping with our efforts to provide our Customers with secure transactions and maintaining their information privacy and security, Independence2, LLC's website is secured and our Customer's transactions are protected with up to a 256-bit Secure Socket Lay encryption (see SSL Certificate Icon for verification).

 

OPT-OUT:

If you would like to Opt-out of the receipt of future product announcements, newsletters, company updates, etc. from Independence2, LLC and our affiliates or Third-Party Suppliers, you can do so by either clicking the link in the communication that you received from Independence2, LLC or you may OPT-out by:

Please allow us two (2) weeks for the receipt and processing of your Opt-Out request.  In that time, you may possibly receive further communications from us, however, as soon as we are able, we will process your Opt-Out request and remove you from our E-mail Newsletter/E-mail mailing list.  Also, note that requesting removal from our e-mail list will keep you from receiving company updates, product announcements, etc. in the future.
